Durable, aesthetic solution for diving equipment specialist
Since mid-2022, De Zeeman PRO has been operating from its renewed home base in Mechelen. In the offices, the specialist in professional diving equipment chose ntgrate tiles as floor covering, in a fresh color palette. The sustainable and acoustic properties and the ease of use of ntgrate partly determined the choice of De Zeeman PRO.
With an extensive range of commercial, military and medical diving equipment, De Zeeman PRO is an established value for professional divers. In addition to the sale and rental of renowned brands, the specialist also offers training, maintenance and repairs of equipment and accessories. Their site in Mechelen was in need of an upgrade, which is why the company started renovation work in early 2022. Today you will find a shop with a showroom, a spacious warehouse and office space. In total good for about 1,200 square meters.
Sustainable floor covering
There is room for offices on the first floor. The floors of the glass offices and meeting rooms are covered with ntgrate's woven vinyl tiles. An alternative product with a parquet look has been chosen in the hallway.
“Our offices are used intensively and we regularly organize training courses in the meeting rooms for our customers and our foreign subsidiaries. That is why sustainable floor covering was an absolute requirement,” explains Sidney Vandendries. He acted as project coordinator for the renovation works.

An aesthetic solution
The Zeeman PRO became acquainted with ntgrate through its architect Tecro & Krea. Sidney: “We were immediately convinced. It is an aesthetic solution, which is very easy to maintain and also very user-friendly. The architect suggested different samples. We chose the Wild Leon tile with a beautiful color shade of gold and beige. We are extremely satisfied with the result.

Easy to maintain
It is not a delicate floor and you will not easily see dirt on it. For maintenance, it is sufficient to vacuum the woven vinyl tiles and to clean them with a damp cloth.” The fact that the modular tiles are easy to replace is an additional plus for Sidney.

“The sales team followed up on the realization and guaranteed that everything was done correctly, even after the floor had been installed. The personal contact with the ntgrate advisor was very pleasant.”

Optimal acoustics
In addition to the ease of use, the sound-absorbing nature of the ntgrate solution is one of the reasons to choose this product.
“In addition to the system ceilings with tiles, the woven vinyl tiles contribute to good acoustics. To create a comfortable workplace, we want to keep noise pollution to a minimum and ntgrate fits perfectly into that picture,” explains Sidney.
Finally, it was essential for De Zeeman PRO that the floor tile does not need an annual refurbishment and is durable. “The durability of the tile was paramount. In combination with the aesthetic appearance, it is a particularly successful ecological floor choice. For us, ntgrate is an absolute must.”
