New sustainable headquarters along E314 in Diest (BE).

Harol evolved from a small family business in Diest into one of the leading manufacturers of roller shutters, sun blinds and outdoor living in Europe.

With the renovation and new construction completed in Diest, Harol has created and optimized the space it needs to continue to grow. New offices have been created, as well as a new café and canteen for staff, a fitness room for Harol employees - a healthy mind resides in a healthy body - and a number of meeting rooms. “The entire building is future-proof, notes Isabelle Wintmolders. “Green and cozy!”

Responsible entrepreneurship, sustainability

These are things that are in our DNA,” notes manager Annick Draelant. "We are now self-sufficient in terms of our electricity consumption. Incidentally, we still use gas, for example in our paint shop, but that too is under consideration. These days, companies and governments often demand sustainable operations from each other. They do want to do business with you, but only if you work sustainably, like ntgrate."

A healthy mind in a healthy body

For their new building a lot of attention went to the well-being of the visitors and employees. Enough natural light and ventilation, a good thermal insulation and of course optimal acoustics. The ntgrate Greenfelt woven vinyl flooring offers a soft underfoot and an acoustic dampening of 19dB (22dB also available).

Designed in Belgium

More than 600 square meters of Noble Balthasar and Soft tess with 19dB acoustic Greenfelt backing was incorporated into the new headquarters. As a manufacturer of high-end sun protection, among other things, Harol was familiar with the many advantages of woven vinyl.
